Drones in the skies

Being able to get to difficult to access areas, to heights and to potentially dangerous and unstable areas of a site, factory or building, is very costly and sometimes impossible due to health and safety concerns.

Hiring and mounting scaffolding, a cherry picker etc are slow and costly methods which can now be avoided with drones.

Our clients are finding our services very useful for roof inspections, inspections of guttering, chimneys. Using our remotely controlled drone we provide clients with high resolution photographs and video survey footage of structures that would otherwise be difficult to inspect. There’s no need to scaffold a building or hire a cherry picker to carry out your roof survey or building structure survey. We can provide you with the survey footage to analyse at your own computer.

drone inspections

Having an unmanned aerial vehicle creates access to objects and places that otherwise would be impossible. Whether it is a close proximity bridge inspection or a leaky oil pipeline with thousands of pounds of potentially deadly built up pressure. UAVs or Drone are ideal for carrying out inspections that would otherwise present a dangerous situation for an employee. Drone technology allows you to keep personnel safe while also gathering the necessary video and data required to operate your business.

The drone, with the pilot’s feet firmly planted on terra firma, easily wins the safety variable and drone costs about half as much as a traditional ground-based inspection using climbers to inspect your assets. Operations standards and protocols for drones are more than a best practice: checklists, pre-flight risk assessments, on-site surveys...

There is no question about the quality—the ability of a drone to get in close to a tower and capture a variety of angles cannot be equaled. The issue of time turns out to be relative

We have recently added to our cameras a zoom camera for aerial work, especially for inspections. This has become very useful for close up shots.

  • Wind Turbines
  • Electrical Masts and cabling
  • Roof Inspections
  • Chimney Inspections
  • Church Towers
  • Bridges
  • Roof Surveys
  • Obstructions from overgrowth

Our Panasonic Lumix G Vario 35-100mm zoom is ideal to get up close shots of details that would normally require the drone to fly too close to buildings. We can now fly safe distances whilst acquiring the photographs needed by our clients.
