As great lovers of the wonderful music of Beethoven, we share this fantastic video of drones to his music
On November 4, 2015 Intel in collaboration with Ars Electronica Futurelab broke the world record in the category Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) Airborne Simultaneously. Here Ars Electronica Futurelab explains how they developed Drone 100, a 3D masterpiece of art and airborne technology, using Intel® technology to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Displayed above an orchestra playing Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, the performance broke a Guinness World Record for Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) airborne simultaneously.
The scenes captured appear magical as the colours fade into the night’s sky in tune with the classical composer’s music. With 100 small UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), a ground crew used Intel software to perform a choreographed ballet in the sky while an orchestra seated on the runway of a German airport played Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
